No trip is complete without a day of shopping. Stocking up on all those things we can’t get back home or deals we don’t want to miss.

That was what we did today.

We started off with brunch at a great restaurant called waffelino in Lawrence, New York. The entire menu is either made with waffles or shaped like waffles.  Most of us opted for waffles. My husband is the only exception with a waffle shaped tuna melt panini. It was unanimous that we decided the red velvet waffle and chocolate chip waffle wee the best. All the waffles were made fresh and were super moist and delicious.

Each kid had a waffle with one scoop of ice cream, two toppings and a syrup. Toppings range from flax seed to custard to candy. As an example of what you can get these are what we used…fruity pebbles cereal, sprinkles, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, custard, cut up jelly candies and granola. There are also a bunch of syrups like caramel, chocolate, vanilla and maple.

Next us girls went shopping and scored big on sales at Junee jr. My girls got some great skirts and shabbat outfits with the buy one for $15 or 2 for $20 sale racks. I will be sure to Instagram pictures when they wear them.

The boys stocked up in religious books and articles.

We ended the day with a swimming party and bbq with friends. We are leaving tomorrow to head up to Connecticut to visit my sister in law so we wanted to spend as much time as we could with them before leaving. It has been so nice to see people we have missed so much.

Also…the stitches are out!!! The chin looks great and she is so happy to be back in the water again. Glad that ordeal is over.

Xoxo
