I am not a big drinker to start with, but after three pregnancies and what feels like years of nursing even I find myself sometimes craving a little treat. One day I was searching the web and came across this fabulous book called Preggatinis. It is chock full of fun alcohol-free drink recipes.
It was created by Natalie the “Liquid Muse“. She follows drink trends and adapts them to non-alcoholic beverages. She also helps create many signature drinks for celebrity baby showers.
If you are planning a baby shower, need a little treat, or (like my case was) are part of a bachelorette party but cannot participate, I highly recommend checking out this book and blog. Below is just a sample of one drink on the site:
The Sweetheart Cocktail (Martini Glass)
1 1/2 ounces Pinky vodka
1 ounce simple syrup
3/4 ounce lemon juice
1/4 ounce Campari
1 small egg white
1/4 ounce grenadine for garnish
Shake all ingredients (except grenadine) vigorously, with ice for at least 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Slowly drizzle grenadine into the cocktail, allowing it to settle at the bottom of the glass, creating a layered effect.
