Today I got some unfortunate news of a family member’s passing. Sometimes when bad things happen we lose track of all the good in our lives and only focus on the bad or tragic.

Today I was sitting crying and my son came up to me and said “Mommy, why are you so sad?” Then without me asking he ran to the bathroom and brought me a Kleenex. It was this small action from such a wonderful, small person that brought me back to reality and the fact that I have a wonderful pair of children who love me so much.

So today I have no deals to share, only a small piece of advice. Take a moment each day and reflect on how wonderful your children are. Appreciate the time when they are small and the cute things they say (maybe even jot them down for safe-keeping). It’s only a matter of time before they are big and sadness can affect them too. If you do this then no matter what life throws at you, you will know that you are a Fabulous Mommy.

My heart is with my family,

  1. It’s moments like these that really make it all worthwhile. Nothing can bring a smile to my face faster then my kids being thoughtful. Thanks for sharing.
